The following are screen icons that you need to know and understand to be able to search the Internet with ease.

IEForward
  Back and Forward buttons
With these you move between the web pages you have already viewed. It's like a book's pages allowing you to relook at what you have seen.

  IEStop   Stop button
This button is displayed while a page is busy loading. The moment the page has finished loading it will become inactive (light grey colour). Use the "Stop" button when you clicked to open (download) a page, but want to stop it from opening. You might do this when the page takes to long to open.

  IEFresh   Reload or Refresh buttons
Use this button to reload or refresh the page. This button will only be displayed when the page has finished loading. It is used to see if the page has changed since you last saw it

  IEHome   Home button
When you click on this icon it will take you back to your home page, e.g. the home page of your technikon, university or even your Library web site, depending on what Home page has been set for your browser

  IESearch   Search button
When you click on this icon you will be able to start your search on the Internet. This button will take you to a list of search engines you can make use of, e.g. Google, Alta vista, Infoseek, etc.

To print the page that is displaying on your computer monitor, you just click on the Print icon.

When you click on this button you are marking this page in your list of favorites like a bookmark for a book, which you can easily access again when you need to.

When you click on this option you will be able to e-mail this link to yourself or somone else.
