What is a museum?
The museum is another information resource and is
"a building or portion of a building used for the
storing, preservation, and exhibition of objects considered
to be of lasting value or interest, as objects illustrative
of antiquities, natural history, fine and industrial art,
etc."
(The new
shorter Oxford English dictionary, 1993)
See International Council of Museums definition of a museum. (This

What type of information is available at a

Museums preserve or store objects, art, etc.,
that are considered valuable and illustrative of antiquities.
