Periodicals in your Library

• The selection of periodicals in your Library is probably minute when compared to the international volume of periodicals being published.
  If you identify a periodical in the library which you wish to search for information, you will have to identify which of the commercial services index the journal and then use their CD-ROM. Combine your keywords with the title of the periodical to limit the result to the contents of that title.

Periodical articles from OUTSIDE your Library

• You will have to consult periodical indexes (printed or CD-ROM format) in order to identify articles of value.
• Note that you cannot get the full journal from an outside Library - only a photocopy of the particular article.
• Next you have to ascertain which library in South Africa subscribes to the journal/periodical that you are interested in.
• With all the information at hand, the Inter Library Loans department will obtain the item for you.
