Conference reports / proceedings

What is a conference?

A conference is a meeting where people in specific subject fields get together and share information by having discussions, presenting papers, posters, etc. There are thousands of different conferences held every year all over the world.

What are conference reports/ proceedings?

These reports/proceedings of a conference provide information about a conference and are also the published form of the papers that were presented at the conference.

What type of information will I find in conference reports/proceedings?

Conference papers and proceedings can provide very useful information. They usually contain the latest and newest research and findings by specialists in a particular field.

Where can I find conference reports/proceedings?

These are some places where you could find them:

    • Your Library will have a certain number of conference reports and proceedings available. Search on the OPAC (your Library catalogue) to find them.
    • Many of these reports and proceedings are also available on the Internet. See the following example. Sixth International World Wide Web Conference (To be able to access this link your computer must be connected to the Internet.)

Remember to ask your Librarian for help!!.
