The elements required to compile a bibliography
Place of publication
- This is the town or city of publication, and not the
country, province, state or county.
- If a whole list of names is given, choose the first
on the list.
- In the case of cities in the U.S.A., it is customary
to include the name of the state (abbreviated). Click

- The place of publication and the name of the publisher
are separated from each other by a colon.
- If you are unable to locate the place of publication (fairly
unlikely), use the abbreviation s.l. (sine loco).
